Job summary

Placer Gold Mine outside of Dawson City, Yukon is hiring a seasonal Laborer for a 12-day on, 2-day off shift until October 2026. This family owned operation seeks reliable workers to support trades across the site.

Wages are $25 per hour with overtime after 8 hours; camp accommodations, meals, and relocation assistance are provided. Class 5 license and eagerness to learn are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks for Office Workers
• Take instruction from Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanics
• Take instruction from Carpenters
• Take instruction from Welders
• Clean up and organize worksites
• Help with fueling heavy machines
• Do fluid checks on crew vehicles
• Run parts between mine sites

Job description

Join us at our family owned and operated Placer Gold Mine outside of Dawson City, Yukon until October of 2026 as a Laborer. This is a seasonal position hiring multiple candidates. Laborer's are expected to safely lift 50lbs. Laborer's may sometimes be expected/taught to operate equipment such as skid steers, forklifts or even larger machines should interest arise. Labourers will work with various tradespeople across the mine site to assist in completion of miscellaneous projects.

This is a camp position with a 12 day on, 2 days off shift. We offer relocation assistance to get to the Yukon however this is NOT fly in fly out work, nor is end of season travel covered. Camp accommodations include a private room, shared wash facilities and a dining hall providing 3 meals a day.

Wages $25/hour with overtime after 8hrs. 11hrs/day, 77hrs/week.
