Job summary

Nhwelmen Construction in Kamloops is recruiting Labourers to join our growing team. You will perform general duties in mining or civil construction, follow company procedures, and work safely on site.

We offer $25 - $35 per hour depending on experience, with long-term employment for qualified individuals. This role based in Kamloops / Thompson area of British Columbia not a camp position.

Qualifications

• Must complete mandatory Orientation and Indoctrination training and certification.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean Drivers Abstract.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in a mining or civil construction environment following company procedures and policies.
• Operate and assist with equipment, loading/unloading of supplies and equipment, and use of powered/hand tools.
• Complete online and/or manual inspection forms as required.
• Work independently with little to no supervision.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work safely in a mining or civil construction environment following company procedures and policies
• Typical duties include, but are not limited to, parts running, equipment washing, working with equipment operators, operating powered tools and hand tools, loading and unloading of supplies and equipment, light maintenance, and other duties as needed
• Completing online and/or manual inspection forms as required
• Work independently with little to no supervision

Requirements:

• Ability to complete mandatory internet-based Orientation and Indoctrination training and certification
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean Drivers Abstract
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
• Reliable transportation

Location: This position is based out of the Kamloops / Thompson area of British Columbia. This is not a camp position.
