Job summary

Fine Gold Resources in the Yukon is seeking a seasonal Loader Operator to work at our mine near Dawson City. The role operates on a 24/7 rotation with day and night shifts; rotation includes time off on-site at the camp or in Dawson City.

The position runs seasonally from March/April to October, with on-site camp accommodations and meals provided. Responsibilities include safe operation, daily logs, inspections, fueling, and basic maintenance of heavy equipment, with the Mine Supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years previous loader operations experience in a mine environment is an asset.
• Experience working around heavy‑duty equipment is an asset.
• Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting.
• Ability to work day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.
• Get directions from the Mine Supervisor for the day-to-day operations work schedule.
• Do pre & post inspection check-up of the equipment and write/keep equipment log.
• Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level.
• Assists in the maintenance work of the equipment.
• Maintain tidiness in the equipment.
• Prepare and submit the necessary required daily reports as directed.
• Perform other functions as maybe directed from time to time.

Job description

Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March/April to October and we are looking to hire a seasonal Loader Operator, to be based outside of Dawson City, Yukon.

We provide accommodation and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package.

The mine operates 24/7 with two shifts each day - a day shift and a night shift - with a rotation schedule. During their time off employees may stay on-site at the camp or venture to Dawson City for some time away.

For candidates local to the Dawson City area, we are open to considering an onsite / offsite working schedule.

Duties will include the following:
