Job summary

Energy Job Shop in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking Heavy Civil Equipment Operators for upcoming projects. Operators will work on earthworks, road building, and mining-related tasks in remote environments, with a project-based, rotational schedule and accommodations provided.

This role requires minimum 3 years of experience, valid safety tickets, and ability to work outdoors in all weather. Successful candidates thrive in challenging settings and are prepared for day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience operating heavy equipment (rock trucks, haul trucks, graders, excavators, dozers) in civil earthworks, construction, road building, or mining
• Valid safety training tickets
• Intermediate First Aid with CPR & AED
• Ground Disturbance (HEO)
• Valid Driver’s License
• CSA Approved safety boots (6” high, fully laceable)
• Ability to repetitively and safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening
• Successful completion of comprehensive Fitness-to-Work Assessment
• Willingness to work rotational schedules, 12-hour shifts (days and nights)
• Preparedness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
