Job summary

A mining company in Yukon is seeking a qualified Dozer and/or Excavator Equipment Operator to work in Dawson City. This role involves ensuring safe operations, performing equipment inspections, and assisting with equipment maintenance. The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of operational experience with the relevant machinery, a valid Driver’s license, and the ability to work both day and night shifts. Qualifications

• Experience with mining specific equipment would be considered an asset.
• Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.
• Do pre & post inspection check-up of the equipment and keep equipment log.
• Assist in maintenance work of the equipment.
• Maintain clean and tidy equipment and work area.
• Submit daily reports as required.
• Support other tasks as directed by mine supervisor.

Skills

Operational experience in operating Dozer and/or Excavator equipment

Familiarity with maintenance of mining equipment

Initiative with solid HSE fundamentals

Education

Job description

Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking for a qualified Dozer and/or Excavator Equipment Operator, to be based in Dawson City, Yukon.

We provide accommodation and meals at our on‑site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package.

The mine operates 24/7 with two shifts each day - a day shift and a night shift - with a rotation schedule. During their time off employees may stay on‑site at the camp or venture to Dawson City for some time away.

For candidates local to the Dawson City area, we are open to considering an onsite / offsite working schedule.

Job Duties:

• Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.
• Receive direction from the mine supervisor for the day-to-day operations work schedule.
• Do pre & post inspection check‑up of the equipment and write/keep equipment log.
• Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level.
• Assists in maintenance work of the equipment.
• Maintain tidiness in the equipment.
• Prepare and submit the necessary required daily reports as directed.
• Perform other functions as may be directed from time to time.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ operational experience in operating Dozer and/or Excavator equipment.
• Experience with mining specific equipment would be considered an asset.
• Familiar maintenance of mining equipment.
• A valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s license.
• Ability to work day and night shifts.
