Job information Laborer Technician from the Company Custom Vacuum Services Ltd.. This Laborer Technician vacancy is located in Nisku, AB T9E 1B7, Canada. The position is open to candidates with a Bachelor Degree. This vacancy is in the Manufacturing sector and is currently open for applications.

Position: Laborer Technician in a Manufacturing Environment

Custom Vacuum Services Ltd. manufactures custom industrial vacuum equipment at our facility in Nisku, Alberta. Our skilled team ensures our products meet customer needs. We are committed to health and safety, responsible management, and protecting our assets.

Our products are widely used in Western Canadian Oilfields, especially in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Hydro excavation industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Install small parts, airlines, glycol lines, electrical boxes, mud flaps, placards, wiring, heaters, burners, boom hoses, wash pumps, and reels.
  • Assemble components in a wash cabinet and mount it onto units.
  • Drill holes and grind rough edges for wiring and components.
  • Lift decks, boxes, hose trays, and other large items.
  • Work from ladders and platforms, climbing and working from the top of wash cabinets and tanks.
  • Stand, kneel, and crawl under trucks and tanks as needed.
  • Test unit and wash system operations to ensure functionality.
  • Follow safety, legislative, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
  • Apply company policies to ensure a respectful environment.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for safety, efficiency, and morale.
  • Assist management in troubleshooting and resolving product issues.
  • Identify non-conformances and recommend solutions.
  • Perform general labor duties on vacuum trucks when required.
  • Undertake other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with welding equipment and procedures is a plus.
  • Proficiency with electrical or manual tools.
  • Knowledge of vacuum truck components, including blowers, hydraulics, air, and electrical systems.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and proper PPE use.
  • High attention to detail and ability to anticipate work needs.
  • Patience and adaptability for multitasking.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
