Mining Skilled Ground Workers - Suncor - 14/14 - Transportation Provided - Up to $36.17/hr - Weekly Pay - Fort McMurray, AB

North American Construction Group is hiring Skilled Ground Workers for their Suncor mining site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. These positions offer the chance to work on one of the region’s largest and safest contracts, with opportunities for growth and advancement. Ideal candidates are experienced labourers with mining backgrounds, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work independently in outdoor environments.

• Up to $36.17/hour combined rate of pay
• Overtime after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week
• Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14-day rotation
• Night shift premium +$1.20/hour

What You’ll Need

• Valid CSO, Silica Awareness, Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness, OHS Alberta Legislation, Field Ergonomics
• Be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
• Pass pre-employment testing: Breath Alcohol, Urine Drug, Fitness-to-Work, Audiometric, Vision Screening
• Proficient in English (verbal and written)

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Mechanically inclined
• Previous experience shoveling, raking, grade/laser work, managing pumps and dewatering, installing piping and backfill
• High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
