Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is hiring an entry-level Laboratory Technician C for our Mississauga facility. The role focuses on organics sample preparation and extraction, with supervision from senior staff.

The successful candidate will provide basic administrative and lab support, handle sample prep, and conduct basic analyses. Weekend and evening availability is required, with the wage anticipated at $20/hr.

Qualifications

• Chemical Technology Diploma or BSc or related field of study required.
• Previous lab experience is an asset; competency with analytical balance, dispensers and pipettes is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills especially with MS Excel and LIMS.
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Operate instruments, with guidance from senior staff, perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic analysis.
• Report results.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician C in our Mississauga facility. This position is an entry level role where one can gain career experience in a with organics sample preparation and extraction. The successful candidate will assist with administrative and basic laboratory activities. This role will have a seasonal end date of January 4th 2027. Please note, weekend and evening availability is required.

What you will be doing:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions

Work Environment:

This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
