Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Technician B for a seasonal role in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The position requires weekend availability and runs through February 28, 2027, with potential extension.

You will perform basic lab procedures, calibrate and operate instruments, prepare samples, maintain records, and support QA processes in a fast-paced environment. A technical diploma or science degree and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma/degree in science or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge of full laboratory processes preferred.
• Experience with GC/MS/FID, IC, ICP is an asset.
• Intermediate computer skills are expected.
• Good communication and ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments.
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report results and contribute to team objectives.

Laboratory Technician B

This is a seasonal position with an anticipated end date of February 28th 2027 with the possibility of extension. Please note, weekend availability will be required for this role.

Duties

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures
• Report results
• Other duties as assigned
