Airswift is collaborating with a major client in the Oil & Gas industry to find a Lab Technician to join their team in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications:

• Chemical Technology Diploma, BSc in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or equivalent

Schedule:

• Rotation schedule: 4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off, etc. Shifts may include nights.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely routine and non-routine analyses, including final product certification.
• Communicate effectively daily with operational, environmental, and engineering departments; notify of off-spec results as needed.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment according to standard requirements (QA/QC, preventative maintenance, ISO 9001, ISO 17025).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure reliable laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with laboratory team and plant operations to investigate product quality issues.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
