Job summary

Amii is seeking a Librarian to architect our intellectual capital, ensuring AI training materials are discoverable, compliant, and preserved. You will lead governance of taxonomies, manage IP records, and oversee archival processes in a fast-paced research environment in Edmonton.

Qualifications

• MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution.
• 3+ years in a corporate library, digital asset management, or knowledge management role.
• Experience managing copyright, licensing, or patent documentation.
• Proficiency with DAM systems, SharePoint/Confluence, and metadata standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and governance of centralized taxonomies and metadata schemas for AI training assets.
• Audit LMS and internal repositories to reduce silos and knowledge debt.
• Architect automated tagging workflows linking modules to ML research and project outcomes.
• Manage IP Register: authorship, patent disclosures, and copyright status for all research.
• Oversee corporate archival processes to preserve legal agreements and foundational documents.
• Vet third-party educational tools for IP compliance and licensing prior to procurement.
• Establish Knowledge Capture protocols interviewing ML Scientists to translate tacit knowledge into assets.
• Consult during the design phase of new programs to ensure content aligns with research.
• Translate archived knowledge into structured, usable formats for the Training Team.
