Job summary

Amii, located in downtown Edmonton, seeks a ML Educator to develop and deliver AI literacy programs for K-12, post-secondary, and industry. You will create engaging curricula, lead workshops, and collaborate with the Training team to address client needs and drive learning outcomes.

The role emphasizes content excellence, learner success, and cross-functional teamwork, with a focus on translating complex AI concepts into practical learning experiences and measurable impact.

Qualifications

  • Masters/PhD in AI/ML required or equivalent
  • 3+ years of applied AI experience
  • Experience developing and delivering curriculum and learning exercises
  • Public speaking and group facilitation experience
  • Comfort with post-secondary content delivery is a plus

About The Role

The Machine Learning (ML) Educator supports the content development process for AI literacy programming in the K-12 education system, post-secondary institutions, and industry. Providing exceptional content development and delivery to empower organizations and individuals in enhancing their AI literacy, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success in AI.

This is a Full-time Term position with an end date of March 31, 2028.

The position focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities:

Required Skills / Expertise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers and leads dynamic workshops, lectures, and full courses tailored to diverse audiences
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and education facilitator, helping teams and clients identify how AI and ML tools can effectively address their business needs
  • Collaborates with the Product Owner, Training, to evaluate educational needs and design targeted upskilling programs
  • Creates and delivers training programs and workshops that comprehensively address both business and technical training needs
  • Supervises AICAP participants in the content development process; including the creation of assignments, instructional content, and scripts
  • Builds a reputation as a trusted subject matter expert, providing valuable insights and guidance
  • Contributes to the effective coordination and management of internal tools and resources, supporting both learner and team success
  • Identifies problem-solving strategies while actively collaborating with team members
  • Manages and oversees the timely completion of all deliverables
  • Works effectively with the Training team and other Amii teams to achieve shared goals and enhance cross-functional collaboration
  • Takes proactive steps to inspire and motivate peers and team members, helping them achieve the organization’s mission and vision
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for increasing efficiency within the Training team, leading to improved processes and outcomes
  • Pursues personal development and learning opportunities with a focus on collaboration, applying learnings to enhance future coaching opportunities
Qualifications
  • Masters or Ph.D. in AI/Machine Learning
  • 3+ years applied AI experience
  • Experience with developing and delivering curriculum; designing effective learning exercises, illustrations of technical concepts, training and evaluation tools
  • Experience building or delivering content in the post-secondary context (nice to have)
  • Must be comfortable speaking in public, being on camera, teaching groups of various sizes, and facilitating group activities
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to communicate highly technical subject matter to a variety of audiences
  • Proficient in eLearning systems
  • Interest in and ability to test new educational tools and technologies
