Job summary

Fasken seeks a Librarian in Knowledge Services to deliver high-quality legal and business research, current awareness, and resource management to support the Firm and clients. The role advances AI initiatives and practice innovation through research expertise and training.

Hybrid position with hours 9am–5pm, occasional overtime. You will collaborate with Practice Innovation, CI/BI initiatives, and multiple departments to drive efficient information delivery and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Master of Information Studies (MI) or equivalent, with rigorous training in library/information sciences.
• Experience in a law library or professional services library environment (2–5 years).
• Strong knowledge of Canadian legal system and research methods; familiarity with Ontario and Federal frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive legal, regulatory, and business research services to lawyers, students and staff.
• Evaluate and summarize information from diverse sources into actionable findings for requests.
• Provide guidance on research strategies and support independent research efforts.
