Job summary

Amii in Edmonton is seeking an Instructional Designer - LMS Integrations to lead the seamless integration of AI literacy content into partner LMS platforms. You will guide LMS implementation, ensure SCORM/LTI compatibility, and support ongoing delivery across K-12, post-secondary, and industry partners.

Reporting to the Manager, AIWR, you will contribute to content development and apply universal design principles to create accessible, high-quality learning experiences using rapid authoring

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Education, Machine Learning, or related field.
• 3+ years instructional design experience.
• 2+ years building, publishing, and importing content on LMS platforms such as Brightspace, RISE, Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle.
• Experience developing and delivering curriculum; designing learning exercises and evaluation tools is a plus.
• Proficient in eLearning systems (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Leads the technical and pedagogical integration of AI/ML training content into internal and external LMS for partners across sectors.
• Collaborates with partner teams to ensure LMS setup, SCORM/LTI compatibility, authentication, and content deployment.
• Provides ongoing LMS support, troubleshooting, and optimization for seamless delivery.
• Applies universal design and accessibility standards for inclusive learning materials.
• Uses rapid authoring tools to develop scalable e-learning modules for LMS integration and IL offerings.
• Translates AI/ML concepts into engaging, pedagogically sound learning materials with SMEs.
• Keeps course materials updated to reflect AI industry standards and pedagogy.
• Works with Product, Training, and Technical Leads to streamline deployment workflows.
• Shares LMS integration best practices and documentation to boost team efficiency.
• Contributes to internal tooling and project tracking to meet milestones.

About the Role

The Instructional Designer - LMS Integrations for the Training team primarily leads the seamless integration of our AI literacy content into the Learning Management Systems (LMS) of partner organizations across K-12 education, post-secondary institutions, and industry. In addition to guiding LMS implementation and technical alignment, this position leverages pedagogical expertise to contribute to content development, ensuring high-quality AI and ML learning experiences are tailored for maximum impact.

Reporting to the Manager, AIWR, the Instructional Designer - LMS Integrations serves as a key member of the Training team and actively participates in executing Amii’s business functions.

This is a Full-time Term position with an end date of March 31, 2028.

The position focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads the technical and pedagogical integration of Amii AI/ML training content into internal and external Learning Management Systems (LMS) for partners across K-12, post-secondary, and industry sectors
• Collaborates directly with partner technical and educational teams to ensure smooth LMS setup, SCORM/LTI compatibility, authentication, and content deployment
• Provides ongoing LMS technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain seamless delivery and high partner satisfaction
• Applies universal design principles and accessibility standards to ensure integrated course material is accessible to all partner learners
• Utilizes rapid authoring tools and instructional design methodologies to develop high-quality, scalable e-learning modules tailored for LMS integration and instructor-led offerings
• Works closely with subject matter experts to translate complex AI and ML concepts into engaging, interactive, and pedagogically sound learning materials
• Continuously evaluates and updates course materials to ensure accuracy, alignment with current AI industry standards, and pedagogical effectiveness
• Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Training, and Technical Leads to streamline course deployment workflows
• Shares LMS integration best practices and technical documentation across the organization to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing
• Contributes to internal tools, process improvements, and project tracking to ensure timely delivery of integration milestones

Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Education, Machine Learning, or related field
• 3+ years instructional design experience
• 2+ years of experience building, publishing, and importing content on a variety of LMS platforms such as Brightspace, RISE, Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle
• Experience developing and delivering curriculum; designing effective learning exercises, illustrations of technical concepts, training and evaluation tools (nice to have)
• Proficient in eLearning systems (nice to have)
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines (nice to have)
• Inquisitive, with an interest in and ability to test new educational tools and technologies
