Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Ajax, Ontario seeks a Kitchen Leader to learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders while ensuring the kitchen is clean, stocked, and food is delicious.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Open availability at least four days per week, with two of Fri/Sat/Sun.
• Minimum of 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure kitchen is cleaned, sanitized and equipment is well maintained.
• Maintain safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
