Job summary

Shae Foods Ltd. seeks a motivated Kitchen Assistant for a full-time daytime role. You will support kitchen operations with food prep, packaging, and safety documentation, starting at Cityscape for 2–3 months before moving to a new facility.

The position offers a consistent Sunday-Thursday shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with opportunities for long-term career advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Entry-level kitchen role requiring willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
• Must obtain Basic Food Safety Certificate within first month of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Prior kitchen experience and Food Safe certification are assets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, portioning and basic cooking.
• Package, label, and store food products; maintain hygiene.
• Perform temperature checks and complete kitchen documentation.
• Follow HACCP, FIFO and food safety procedures; maintain cleanliness.
• Support receiving products and stock rotation; assist team with tasks.
