Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a kitchen assistant to help prepare meals for daily production and catering events under the Cook's direction. You will support high-volume food service in a care environment and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

Requirements include Food Safe Level I, familiarity with provincial health and safety regulations, and strong English communication. Experience in healthcare food preparation is preferred, and you must be able to organize workflow to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in meals preparation in a health care environment preferred.
• Awareness of provincial health and safety regulations.
• Ability to organize work to respond to a high volume environment.
• Good communication in English; Food Safe Level I certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of all foods per daily production schedules and catering events.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of food production areas, equipment and kitchen; sign off records.
• Follow HACCP protocols in all areas of work.
