Job summary

Val Saint-Côme is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to bolster cooks in our cafeteria at the base of the slopes. You will handle basic prep, assist with plating, and help maintain clean, organized work areas to speed up service.

This role offers full-time or part-time hours with evenings, weekends, and holidays on-site, plus meals and company perks. MAPAQ certification is a plus and a customer‑service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in food service or hospitality (an asset).
• MAPAQ certification (an asset).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-service oriented, attentive to cleanliness and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic prep tasks: peeling, cutting and chopping vegetables, meats and fish.
• Measure and weigh ingredients according to instructions.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, soups or starters under supervision.
• Help plate dishes for service and keep surfaces clean.
• Apply strict food hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory and stock rotation.
• Receive, unpack and store deliveries and organize stock rotation.
• Collaborate with chefs and the brigade, support during busy services.
