Job summary

Lifemark Physiotherapy Elm & Wilson in St. Thomas, ON is seeking a Kinesiologist who shares our philosophy that movement improves health.

You will perform ergonomic assessments, POETs, work hardening and FCEs as part of a collaborative outpatient clinic. You will design and supervise graded exercise, conduct functional testing and reassess progress, recording findings in client charts and coordinating return-to-work plans with clients and employers.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
  • 2+ years of experience considered an asset.
  • Registration with the Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under supervision.
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
  • Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts regularly.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
  • Ensure return to work plans with client and employer are documented.
