Job summary

Lifemark Physiotherapy Aspen in Calgary is seeking a Kinesiologist to support biomechanical, functional, and graded exercise assessments with supervision from a physiotherapist. The role offers opportunities to contribute to work conditioning and work hardening programs, helping clients regain function.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, educating clients, and coordinating return-to-work plans with employers, while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
• 2+ years of experience considered an asset.
• Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.

The successful candidate will posses the ability to perform ergonomic assessment, POET’s, work hardening and facilitating FCE’s. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.

Location: Lifemark Physiotherapy Aspen - 339 Aspen Glen Landing SW, Calgary, AB, T3H 0N6

Schedule: 24 hours per week, with possible full time hours available. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

We have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of our patients and employees with PPE provided, the spacing of patients, screening, and more. Extensive safety protocols and procedures have been put into place and are mandatory.
