Job summary

Lifemark Sunridge in Calgary is seeking a Kinesiologist to perform ergonomic assessments, design and supervise graded exercise and work conditioning programs. You will work with a team of clinicians and contribute to complex occupational rehab cases.

Start date is as soon as possible; schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with safety protocols and PPE in place. Join a dynamic outpatient clinic focused on getting clients back to life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
• Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required.
• 2+ years of experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.
