Job description

Develop your potential. Make a difference.

Are you a passionate Kinesiologist dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Canadians? At Lifemark, your work makes a real difference, expanding access to care and creating lasting impact in the communities you serve. As Canada’s largest physiotherapy company, Lifemark is passionate about enriching the health of Canadians through movement. While physiotherapy remains a core service, Kinesiology is integral in promoting our clients’ healing and improving recovery time. We believe when you move better, you feel better. This is at the heart of everything we do, and we are seeking a Kinesiologist who shares this same philosophy.

If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic outpatient clinic, is eager to learn more, and is passionate about helping our clients get back to life, you belong here!

Your impact

This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases. Our KINs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
  • Utilize e-charting software to document client sessions; submit reports to stakeholders promptly.
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
  • Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client's chart.
Are you the right fit?

As one of the largest networks of KINs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, interdisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centered care. We're seeking a compassionate clinician who leads with empathy and integrity. A great listener, a clear communicator, and someone who seeks to understand what motivates our clients to guide how to personalize a plan of care to meet their needs. Above all, you are driven to grow, both professionally and personally. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Registration and good standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists is preferred.
  • Preferably with clinical outpatient rehabilitation experience in areas such as WorkSafe CRP Program, ICBC, JSV, return to work, mental health, and musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury.
  • New Graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
