Job summary

Lifemark Health Centre Pembroke is hiring a Kinesiologist to join our Pembroke clinic on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team, providing biomechanical and functional assessments, and delivering graded exercise and return-to-work plans.

Qualified candidates will be registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario, hold a university Kinesiology degree, and may have 1–5 years of occupational rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs.
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.

Qualifications:

• Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario
• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
• Preferably with 1-5 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation is considered an asset
