Job summary

Lifemark North York clinic is seeking a Kinesiologist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will perform biomechanical and functional assessments, design work conditioning programs and monitor progress to help clients return to work.

The ideal candidate is registered in Ontario, with a university kinesiology degree and 1–5 years in occupational rehabilitation as an asset. Competitive wages and education support are offered.

• Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
• 1–5 years in occupational rehabilitation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness and functional assessments.
• Design and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning or hardening.
• Reassess progress biweekly with functional testing.
• Maintain client charts with functional and subjective findings.
• Support return‑to‑work plans with client and employer.

Qualifications:

• Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario
• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
• Preferably with 1-5 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation isconsidered an asset

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart
