Job summary

Value Buds Vermillion is hiring a Keyholder / Shift Lead to help run our fast-paced cannabis retail store. You’ll greet customers, guide product choices, and model excellent service while supporting teammates during busy shifts.

This role emphasizes hands-on operations, merchandising, POS accuracy, and compliance with regulations. Candidates should have retail or hospitality experience and carry a cannabis selling certification, with the ability to stand long hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age per province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

About the Role Keyholder / Shift Lead - Cannabis Retail

We're looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you'll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast paced setting.

What You'll Do

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep

About You

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
