Job summary

Value Buds Danforth & Main is seeking a motivated Keyholder/Shift Lead to guide customer interactions, support daily store operations, and ensure compliance with cannabis regulations. You will lead by example, supervise shifts, and assist teammates in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires prior retail or hospitality experience, strong communication, and cannabis education. Compensation includes benefits and flexible scheduling as part of our full-time team.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or hospitality environments.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Certification in cannabis selling (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP/CRWTP, or CanSell) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and perform basic inventory checks.

About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’ll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast‑paced setting.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification

About You

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
