Job summary

Value Buds is seeking a motivated Keyholder to join our cannabis retail team. You will be the face of the brand, delivering exceptional service while helping customers navigate products and education.

The role emphasizes leading by example, owning shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced store environment. Relevant cannabis certifications are required and provincial age rules apply.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.
