Value Buds is hiring a Keyholder / Shift Lead for our cannabis retail team. You’ll lead during shifts, deliver exceptional service, and help customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis.

This role focuses on supervising daily operations, merchandising, and store upkeep while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety procedures. Qualifications

• Prior retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Strong communication and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell) preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirement per province and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’llbe the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer

About You

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude

• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
