Job summary

La Vie en Rose Inc. is seeking a friendly, sales-driven Retail Associate to join our Kingston team. You will greet customers, explain products, assist in fitting rooms, and help customers complete purchases with a focus on service excellence.

We expect proactive, reliable candidates who can maintain store standards, learn company policies, and contribute to a welcoming shopping environment during holidays and peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales and delivering high-quality customer service.
• Ability to listen to customer needs and suggest products accordingly.
• Bilingual ability is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a warm welcome and assist with questions.
• Help customers find products and explain features, materials and fit.
• Be available in fitting rooms and assist as needed.
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals with training support.
• Manage the sales floor when managers are away.
• Prepare and present products to create a memorable shopping experience.
• Keep store and backstore clean, tidy and organized.
• Identify new products and share top picks with customers.
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process transactions.
• Follow head office policies and procedures; training provided.
• Perform other duties to support the team.

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for advising customers to maximize sales potential as well as opening and closing the store. To perform your job well, you will need to:

• Provide customers with a warm welcome;
• Help them find everything they’re looking for—answer their questions, explain the products (quality, materials, technical features) and suggest other products they might like;
• Make yourself available when customers are in the fitting room;
• Meet and exceed your personal sales goals (our training will help you get there!);
• Manage the sales floor when your managers aren’t there;
• Prepare, identify and place products on the sales floor to provide a memorable shopping experience;
• Ensure everything is clean and tidy in the store and backstore;
• Be on the lookout for new products so you can share your top picks with your customers;
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process their transactions;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedures of the various head office departments (don’t worry, we’ll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
