Job summary

Bikini Village Inc. is seeking a friendly, energetic sales associate in Barrie, Ontario. You will advise customers, help them find items, and maximize sales while opening and closing the store.

You will welcome customers, explain products, assist in fitting rooms, and work to meet personal sales goals. The role includes maintaining a clean floor, restocking, and handling transactions at the cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a warm welcome and attentive service.
• Help customers find products, explain features and suggest complementary items.
• Be available in fitting rooms to assist customers.
• Meet and aim to exceed personal sales goals with training support.
• Manage the sales floor when managers aren’t present.
• Arrange products on the floor to create a memorable shopping experience.
• Keep store and backroom areas clean and tidy.
• Spot new products and share top picks with customers.
• Escort customers to the register and process transactions.
• Follow head office policies and procedures and seek guidance as needed.
• Perform other duties to support the team.

Under the supervision of the store management team, you will be responsible for advising customers to maximize sales potential as well as opening and closing the store. To perform your job well, you will need to:

• Provide customers with a warm welcome;
• Help them find everything they're looking for - answer their questions, explain the products (quality, materials, technical features) and suggest other products they might like;
• Make yourself available when customers are in the fitting room;
• Meet and exceed your personal sales goals (our training will help you get there!);
• Manage the sales floor when your managers aren't there;
• Prepare, identify and place products on the sales floor to provide a memorable shopping experience;
• Ensure everything is clean and tidy in the store and backstore;
• Be on the lookout for new products so you can share your top picks with your customers;
• Accompany customers to the cash register and process their transactions;
• Respect and apply the policies and procedures of the various head office departments (don't worry, we'll explain everything to you!);
• Perform other duties where needed to support the team.
