Qualifications

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience in hospital or specialty settings.
  • Proven track record in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of access, formulary, and reimbursement dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% within territory.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver on territory sales targets through focused execution.
  • Develop and execute a strategic, data-driven territory plan.
  • Identify growth opportunities and adapt strategy to maximize performance.
  • Build relationships with specialists, primary care providers, nurses and pharmacists.
  • Navigate access, reimbursement, and formulary processes in hospitals.
  • Act as primary contact for accounts and coordinate cross-functional support.
  • Deliver compliant, impactful clinical conversations aligned with materials.
  • Translate clinical data into value-based discussions.
  • Maintain knowledge of disease state, treatment landscape, and competition.
  • Support educational initiatives, meetings, and conferences.
  • Leverage digital and omni-channel tools to engage customers.
  • Maintain CRM documentation and territory insights.
  • Operate in full compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Our client, a leading research based pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a high-performing Key Account Manager to drive growth within a complex portfolio focused on high unmet need. This is a true ownership role, centered on delivering results, expanding access, and influencing treatment pathways across an underserved therapeutic landscape. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where strong commercial execution and strategic account management are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver on territory sales targets through focused, disciplined execution
  • Develop and execute a strategic, data-driven territory plan aligned with market reality and brand strategy
  • Identify growth opportunities and proactively adapt strategy to maximize performance
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders including specialists, primary care providers, nurses, pharmacists, and institutional decision-makers
  • Navigate complex healthcare environments including access, reimbursement, and formulary processes within assigned hospitals
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, coordinating cross-functional support as needed
  • Deliver clear, compliant, and impactful clinical conversations aligned with approved materials
  • Translate complex clinical data into meaningful, value-based discussions
  • Maintain a strong understanding of disease state, treatment landscape, and competitive positioning
  • Support and participate in educational initiatives, meetings, and conferences
  • Leverage digital and omni-channel tools to enhance customer engagement
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, reporting, and territory insights
  • Operate in full compliance with all regulatory and company standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in hospital/specialty sales
  • Proven track record of strong sales performance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong understanding of institutional selling, formulary processes, access, and reimbursement dynamics
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (25-40%) within territory
  • Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and drive
  • Ability to build and manage strategic relationships across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex clinical information
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
  • Highly organized with effective territory management capabilities
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Proven track record of being a good teammate
