Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Key Account Manager, End Customer, based in Canada to lead a portfolio of high‑value enterprise accounts across Canada. You will develop multiyear account strategies, understand complex customer environments, and align solutions with evolving business objectives.

The role combines executive relationship management, consultative selling, business development, negotiation, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales or strategic account management experience.
  • Ability to develop and execute multiyear account plans.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and based in Vancouver, BC or Calgary, AB.
  • Experience in physical security, enterprise technology, networking, IoT, or related industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary strategic and commercial lead for assigned strategic end-customer accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute multiyear account plans aligned with customer priorities and business objectives.
  • Build a deep understanding of customers’ businesses, operational challenges, technology environments, and long‑term goals.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with executives, operational, procurement, and technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand customer adoption across video surveillance, analytics, access control, intercom, IP audio, and related solutions.
  • Own account growth objectives, opportunity development, customer retention, competitive positioning, and expansion initiatives.
  • Lead customer presentations, strategic account reviews, proposals, and business cases.
  • Build and coordinate cross‑functional account teams across sales, business development, sales engineering, professional services, technical support, marketing, and global resources.
  • Coordinate with regional sales teams and channel partners to ensure consistent execution, clear responsibilities, and strong customer coverage.
  • Work with technical specialists to coordinate demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts, pilot projects, and solution validation.
  • Coordinate customer escalations while ensuring technical and post‑sales responsibilities remain with the appropriate teams and partners.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, opportunities, activities, pipelines, and forecasts within Salesforce.
  • Communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, market trends, and strategic insights internally.
  • Manage customer site visits, demonstrations, industry events, and other travel‑related activities as required.

You’ll identify opportunities to expand adoption across connected security and network technology solutions while strengthening customer retention.
Success requires the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and coordinate sales, technical, marketing, service, and partner resources.
You’ll operate as a trusted strategic advisor, helping customers address meaningful operational and technology challenges.
This is a permanent individual‑contributor role based inVancouver, BC or Calgary, AB, with travel of up to 50%.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, relevant technical training, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experiencein enterprise sales, strategic account management, national accounts, business development, or a comparable customer‑facing commercial role.
  • Demonstrated success building, managing, and expanding complex strategic customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute account plans that generate sustainable revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships with executives, operational leaders, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen combined with effective negotiation, consultative selling, and solution‑selling capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams without direct managerial authority.
  • Sufficient technical fluency to understand customer requirements, communicate solution capabilities, and coordinate technical specialists.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, particularly for account management, opportunity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Proactive, accountable, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple complex priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in physical security, enterprise technology, networking, IoT, or a related industry is an asset.
  • Familiarity with video surveillance, analytics, access control, intercom, or IP audio solutions is an asset.
  • Experience working with systems integrators, consultants, distributors, and technology partners is advantageous.
  • Experience managing national or geographically dispersed customer relationships is preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain a relevant professional certification following employment is an asset.
  • Ability to travelup to 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
  • Ability to occasionally lift20–40 lbs.and participate in customer site visits, demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Must be based inVancouver, BC or Calgary, AB; fully remote candidates outside these locations will not be considered.
