The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Assistant on a temporary, full-time basis in West Kelowna, BC. The role supports the Christmas Kettle Campaign with kettle counting, deposits, and volunteer coordination.

You will train volunteers, schedule shifts, ensure secure donations, and prepare daily statistics, while adhering to cash handling policies and OH&S requirements. A high school level education and customer service experience are preferred, with ability to lift 9-12 kg.

Qualifikationen

• Some high school coursework; completion of high school is an asset.
• Experience in customer service or cash handling preferred.
• Ability to operate basic computer programs.
• Willingness to obtain background check and driver’s abstract.

Aufgaben

• Oversee kettle counting and prepare deposits.
• Fill out statistics for each kettle location.
• Ensure donations are securely handled.
• Train and orient volunteers; supervise counting volunteers as needed.
• Schedule and re-schedule volunteers; recruit new volunteers.
• Submit timesheets and mileage reports bi-weekly.
• Respond to volunteers' questions and maintain confidentiality.
