Job summary

Grasslands Public Schools in Alberta is hiring a Colony Educational Assistant for Clearview Colony School. This full-time term position runs Oct 19, 2026 – Jun 29, 2027, ~32.5 hours weekly, with a Mon-Fri schedule from 8:50 AM to 3:15 PM and occasional Friday early dismissal.

The EA will help design lesson plans for kindergarten to Grade 3, create student activities, and manage the classroom to support student success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Post-secondary training in education, as an Educational Assistant, or related field.
• 2+ years working with children or in an education setting would be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs for kindergarten to grade 3.
• Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
• Support students in instruction, social and behavioral needs.
• Encourage positive interactions between students and staff.
• Collaborate with Colony Teacher and Principal to identify learning needs.
• Maintain a stimulating learning environment with opportunities for growth.
