School District No. 40 (New Westminster) is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a 0.40 FTE temporary position. The successful candidate will conduct psycho-educational assessments for K-12 students and provide consultation to teachers and parents.

Required qualifications include a Master's in School Psychology, eligibility for BC's Teacher Regulation Branch and CHCPBC, and strong collaboration and communication skills. Salary ranges from $63,361 to $117,583 annually with benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Psychology or equivalent.
• Eligible for membership in the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.
• Eligible for membership in the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete psycho-educational assessments.
• Excellent knowledge of assessment methods for cognitive, academic, behavioral and emotional functioning.
• Ability to collaborate with district and school staff to plan intervention programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments for K-12 students.
• Provide consultation to teachers and parents regarding diverse issues including learning disabilities and cognitive impairments.
• Assist in the 1701 identification process for inclusive education categories.
• Guide resource teachers on Level B assessment tools usage.
• Perform assessments for adjudication for Provincial examinations.
• Other duties as assigned.
