Job summary

The Government of Northwest Territories seeks a Manager, Justice Technical Services to lead, design, implement, maintain, and support electronic and physical security solutions used by the Department of Justice and related services. You will work with judges, court staff, enforcement agencies, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure secure, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include guiding security planning, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and technology strategies

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or electrical engineering with five+ years of directly relevant experience including one year supervising staff.
  • Experience managing information technology, security technologies, telecommunications infrastructure, network environments, or related systems.
  • Experience leading technology projects from design to operation, including risk management and security policy development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage specialized justice technology and security systems including courtroom tech, surveillance, access control, and critical infrastructure for Judiciary, Court Services, and Correctional Services.
  • Provide strategic leadership on security planning, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergent technologies to support safe justice operations.
  • Oversee technical operations, staff, vendors, budgets, and stakeholder relationships ensuring reliable service delivery and regulatory compliance.
