Job summary

Stratford Hall in Vancouver, BC seeks a Learning Strategist/Behaviour Interventionist to support students with diverse learning needs. You will help develop IEPs, collaborate with teachers and families, and implement inclusive strategies across classrooms to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.

The role emphasizes Universal Design for Learning, differential learning plans, and active participation in school-wide initiatives within an IB world school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/degree in education or related field with BC teacher certification.
• Experience supporting social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Background in IB Primary/ Middle/ Diploma program desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in classrooms to support learners using Universal Design for Learning.
• Implement and monitor IEPs and support plans with push-in/pull-out models.
• Prepare lessons and accommodate diverse learners with appropriate tools.
• Apply inclusive practices across environments and activities to remove barriers.
• Engage families and professionals to support student progress and well-being.
• Participate in school duties and contribute to community activities.

Education

Bachelor of Education with Psychology focus / Bachelor of Child and Youth Care or related

BC teacher certification

Play-based learning

Social & emotional learning support

Special education experience

Behaviour intervention strategies

Neurodiverse student experience

English communication (spoken & written)

Experience with 4–11 year olds

Organizational & interpersonal skills
