The Learning Support Teacher leads the Student Support Services Program in the school, working with principals, teachers, support staff and external agencies to ensure services meet Ministry guidelines. The role oversees SLN supports under IEPs or Learning Support Plans or behavior management, and provides remediation in one-on-one or small-group settings to address learning gaps.

Qualifications

• Requires BC Teaching Certificate and eligibility to teach in BC.
• Experience with students with learning needs (SLN) preferred.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Education guidelines.
