Job summary

Dass Rebar in Vaughan, ON seeks a detail-oriented Junior Rebar Estimator / Estimating Coordinator to support our Estimating Department on rebar estimating and tender coordination. The role involves reviewing drawings, organizing documentation, and coordinating with GCs, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and timely bid submissions.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of construction estimating or coordination experience, with rebar estimating being a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of construction estimating or coordination experience preferred.
• Rebar estimating experience is an asset.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rebar quantity take-offs, pricing, and estimate preparation.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and revisions.
• Track incoming tenders, closing dates, bid requirements, RFIs, and clarifications.
• Organize and maintain tender drawings, specifications, and estimating documentation.
• Coordinate with GCs, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors during the tendering process.
• Maintain tender and estimating trackers.
• Assist with bid submissions and ensure required documents are completed.
• Support Senior Estimators, Estimating Manager, and Estimating Coordinator with estimating and tender-related tasks.
