Job summary

Alstom in Canada is seeking a Material Planning support role to assist in planning and delivering materials by managing suppliers and maintaining ERP data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product availability for ongoing projects and monitor supplier performance against KPIs.

The role involves assisting with basic invoice reconciliation, NCR closures, and participation in capacity assessments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two (2) year, four (4) semester Community College Business, Commercial or Technology program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Express and manage delivery requirements to suppliers using planning tools.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to support actions through Delivery Center Drive regular follow-ups to ensure product availability for ongoing projects.
• Monitor supplier performance KPIs and identify performance gaps.
• Participate in supplier delivery performance reviews and input corrective actions when required.
• Create and maintain Material Planning documents.
• Analyze supplier confirmations versus Alstom needs and evaluate production risks.
• Define priorities and implement recovery actions when delays or shortages occur.
• Manage all MRP exception messages and anticipate supply issues before they impact production.
• Resolve receiving discrepancy reports.
• Ensure non-conformity replacements through NCR process.
• Contribute to Supplier Capacity Assessments + Supplier Light Capacity Assessments.
• Assist with basic invoice reconciliation to ensure supplier payments match delivered quantities and purchase orders.
• Share KPI trends with internal and external stakeholders and propose improvement actions.
• Support NCR and QN related purchasing as needed.

Education

Two-year Community College Business/Technology program or equivalent
