Overview
We\'re looking for a Material & Logistics Planner to plan, release and track the delivery of materials and parts needed for production; all to meet production schedules and keep inventories to a minimum using just-in-time principles. You\'ll be at the heart of the action, working closely with suppliers and internal customers such as material handling, transportation, procurement, engineering and quality assurance teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and follow up on parts delivery
- Interact with suppliers and carriers to find creative solutions and avoid production shutdowns
- Analyze the best strategies to meet just-in-time objectives
- Manage commercial relationships with suppliers and negotiate with the best interests of BRP in mind
- Identify and coordinate areas of improvement in line with team objectives
- Establish recovery plans with suppliers and meet with them if necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in administration, operations management or any other related field, or DEC (college diploma) in administration or any other related field and 18 to 36 months of experience
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English to communicate with internal stakeholders located outside Quebec or unilingual Anglophone on a daily basis
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Autonomy and leadership
- Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
- Team player with solid priority management skills
- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills and ability to negotiate.
