Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval is hiring a Material Logistics Agent to coordinate internal material flow and support production planning. This role involves expediting, documentation at multiple stations, and collaboration with Operations and Engineering to improve material flow.

You’ll work with bilingual communication, handle high-priority tasks, and contribute to on-time delivery. The position is a day shift under a regular employee status, located at the Dorval Plant 3 in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience in operations or logistics in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, as a team player, self-motivated and proactive.
• Strong organizational, planning and multi-priority management skills.
• Excellent communication in French and English (written and oral).
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the internal flow of material with expeditors and production staff.
• Participate in the material planning process and provide contingency plans for missing parts.
• Attend daily morning meetings and update on shortages.
• Manage and plan the work of internal suppliers.
• Prepare and validate documentation at various workstations.
• Contribute to improvement plans for internal material flow with Operations, Engineering, Methods and Quality.
• Support business process improvements to ensure on-time delivery of parts.

What are your contributions to the team?

In your role, you will:

• Coordinate the internal flow of material with expeditors and production employees, participate in the material planning process and provide a contingency plan for missing parts;
• Participate in daily morning meetings (DMM) and provide visibility to the natural team regarding planned and unplanned shortages;
• Manage and plan the work of internal suppliers;
• Prepare and validate documentation at different workstations;
• Participate in various improvement plans of internal material flow management with different stakeholders such as Operations, Engineering, Methods and Quality;
• Ensure improvement of business processes and solutions within the team to ensure on-time delivery of parts to production positions;
• Actively participate in improvement projects (ex. Achieving Excellence System, 5S, Lean manufacturing, cost reduction, etc.);
• Develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Operation Management, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) in a recognized University;
• You have 3 to 5 years of working experience in operations or logistics in a manufacturing environment;
• You have the ability to work with minimum supervision, be a team player, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative as well as leadership, and good interpersonal skills;
• You are able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;
• You have good organizational & planning skills;
• You have excellent communication skills in French and English (written and oral);
• You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
