Job summary

The Pie Guys Bakery & Café in Port Colborne, Ontario, is seeking a Junior Baker to join our production team. You will mix ingredients, bake cakes and pastries, and help produce items consistently while maintaining hygiene standards.

We require 1–2 years of experience (or equivalent), completion of secondary school, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ bakery experience or equivalent.
• Completion of secondary school.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing long periods.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in baking.
• Complies with health and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and reliability.
• Knowledge of keeping baking equipment in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Mix and bake ingredients to produce cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries and other baked goods.
• Measure and mix ingredients into dough according to recipes.
• Produce bakery items consistently and efficiently.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Support the bakery team and foster good working relationships.
• Keep the work area clean and organized through regular cleanup.
• Operate and maintain commercial mixing machines and ovens.
