Base pay range

CA$55,000.00 / yr - CA$70,000.00 / yr

The Opportunity :

We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Junior Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow within a collaborative environment and develop a strong foundation in Accounts Payable (AP) and financial reporting. The Junior Accountant will manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and support key accounting processes.

What You Will Be Doing :

• Own the Accounts Payable (AP) process, including invoice entry, approvals, and payment setup.
• Assist with accounts receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Reconcile credit card transactions (20+ corporate cards across multiple locations).
• Manage and reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports and statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with intercompany accounting and verify general ledger (GL) balances for accuracy.
• Process invoices and expense reports, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries.
• Organize and maintain financial records with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
• Potentially take on additional responsibilities such as petty cash management based on demonstrated trust and competency.

What We Need From You :

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• At least one year of full-cycle accounting experience, with a focus on Accounts Payable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset.
• Desire for professional growth and development.
• An interest in interior design or real estate is a plus but not required.
