Position Overview

We’re looking to add a Junior Accountant to our growing accounting department at our Mississauga head office. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this is your opportunity to join a collaborative and results-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process financial transactions including customer invoices, employee expenses, and supplier payments.
2. Handle accounts payable communications and follow up on outstanding balances.
3. Prepare and execute weekly cheque runs and payouts.
4. Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
5. Maintain up-to-date accounting records for sales and expenses.
6. Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including working papers.
7. Digitize and organize financial documents for better record-keeping.
8. Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
9. Perform ad hoc accounting duties as needed.
10. Adapt to evolving responsibilities based on business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Diploma in Accounting or a related field (required).
2. Experience in a multi-currency environment (preferred).
3. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems (an asset).
4. Strong organizational and communication skills.
5. Ability to work both independently and in a team.
6. Excellent time management and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
