Job summary

Bond Brand Loyalty seeks a Jr. Developer to build AI-enabled tools, applications, and extensions across Bond’s ecosystem. You will collaborate across data, backend, and frontend development, applying prompt engineering and context techniques to boost AI model performance.

The role emphasizes API management, integration, and using Python and SQL (PostgreSQL or Snowflake). Front-end work with React/Tailwind/Next.js is preferred, with a hybrid work model and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/SE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Strong Python and SQL (PostgreSQL/Snowflake) skills.
• Understanding of prompt and context engineering for AI apps.
• Experience collaborating in a team and cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain apps and features that integrate AI components into Bond’s ecosystem.
• Apply prompt and context engineering techniques to optimize AI model performance.
• Develop backend logic using Python and SQL (PostgreSQL/Snowflake).
• (Preferred) Build front-end interfaces with React, Tailwind CSS, and Next.js.
• Manage and integrate APIs for data ingestion, processing, and delivery.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
• Apply strategic thinking to prioritize development aligned with goals.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities within the team.
• Leverage business understanding to ensure solutions deliver value.
• Integrate AI solutions into Bond software and knowledge systems.
• Develop and test code elements; handle data access, secrets, PII, logging.
• Monitor performance and model usage costs; support security/compliance.

We are seeking a Jr. Developer to join our team. This role will focus on the development of tools, applications, and extensions with a strong emphasis on AI-related components. The candidate should be comfortable working across data, backend, and (ideally) frontend development, collaborating closely with team members to deliver innovative solutions.

• A university or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure services.
• Strong foundation in Python andSQL(PostgreSQL or Snowflake).
• Understanding ofprompt engineeringand context engineering for AI/LLM applications.
• Experience collaborating in ateam environmentand working cross-functionally.

Compensation:The expected base salary compensation for this role is$65,050 to $86,450 CAD annually.
