Merit Cleaning Services is hiring an Overnight Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness across hotels, offices, and residential buildings in Halifax. The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and meticulous sanitization of high-touch surfaces.

The position is full-time for five days per week, supporting commercial and residential properties along with Freehand restaurants.

Job description

Merit Cleaning Services delivers best-in-class cleaning services within hotels, commercial offices, residential buildings as well as private residential dwellings throughout the HRM.

We are currently hiring a OverNight Cleaner who takes pride in their work, has leadership experience, is knowledgeable of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and is dedicated to meticulously sanitizing high touch surfaces throughout every property.

This is a full-time position, Five working days , supporting our commercial/ residential buildings and Freehand restaurants in Halifax.

What you will be doing:

• Completing all essential cleaning for all assigned spaces of the property which will include windows, elevators, doors, seating, counter, tables, and fixtures.
• Provide premium cleaning at all designated areas; thorough cleaning of washrooms and public spaces, complete vacuuming, washing of all non-carpeted floors, dusting baseboards and light fixtures.
• Cleaning, waste removal to a centralized location, and maintaining the buildings and amenities in a first-class manner, including ensuring building safety, using their own judgment, or as directed by the Employer.
• Complying with policies and procedures for the operation of the Building and the Employer.
