Merit Cleaning Services is hiring an Overnight Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness across hotels, offices, and residential buildings in Halifax. The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and meticulous sanitization of high-touch surfaces.

The position is full-time for five days per week, supporting commercial and residential properties along with Freehand restaurants.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience required.
• Experience training new employees and leading a team.
• Attention to detail in cleaning commercial/residential/hospitality properties.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as auto scrubber is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of assigned spaces including washrooms, common areas, and fixtures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across properties.
• Assist with building upkeep and waste removal as needed.
• Follow Employer policies and procedures.
