Job summary

MAJOR REFRIGERATION LTD. is hiring an HVAC Journeyperson to service commercial and industrial refrigeration across Nova Scotia. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair rooftop units and systems while working on-site at multiple sites.

We require a 313A license, 5+ years of experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to manage service calls independently. Overtime, a company vehicle, and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with gas heating, refrigeration systems, and airflow principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls.
• Willing and able to work overtime, as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• ODP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints.
• Maintain high safety and code compliance standards.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyperson to join our growing team. Open positions focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites throughout the Nova Scotiaarea.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards and legislation
• Other duties as assigned
