Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Journeyperson HVAC Mechanic to service hospital and large facility sites in the Greater Toronto Area. The role requires strong maintenance skills, blueprints literacy, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Applicants must hold Ontario 313A, a valid G2 Gas Technician License, and be willing to work flexible shifts including on‑call. Metasys knowledge is a plus and union benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able and willing to work flexible shifts, including on‑call/standby and emergency call‑outs.
• Licensed Journeyperson HVAC Mechanic, Ontario 313A, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic.
• Valid Gas Technician License (G2 required, G1 preferred).
• Willing to wear PPE and lift up to 50 lbs; able to work on ladders/step stools.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls across hospital/large facilities.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC and related building systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain logs and reports in the service management database.
